Power Washing Your House
First things first. You don’t want to power wash your house. This can damage your house. Instead you want to use a process called a soft wash. Read on and learn about this process.
Does your siding have patches of green and black growth? That is growth from either algae, mold, or mildew.
We can safely remove it and restore your house to clean again by using the industry-standard process to clean the exterior of a home. Most in the industry refer to this as a soft wash.
We will apply a cleaning solution to remove the algae, mold and mildew along with any other organic contaminants. Then we will rinse everything with low pressure.
How can you clean so high up on my house with low pressure?
When people think about power washers, they usually think the higher the pressure, the better. This isn’t true. The majority of things that need to be cleaned with a power washer can be cleaned with much less pressure than most home owners realize. The key for proper cleaning is GPM which stands for Gallons Per Minute. Most home owner machines put out around 2-4 gpm. Professional grade equipment can put out as much as 10 gpm. This additional amount of water, allows the water to be sprayed further while still keeping the pressure low.
Why low pressure?
The old school method of pressure washing 15-20 years ago used high pressure with little to no cleaning solution. This resulted in damage to siding, water intrusion into the house, blown window seals, and torn window screens. Professional power washing associations realized there was a better, safer and more effective way by using equipment designed for professionals to properly clean.
